Diamond Microdermabrasion is a treatment in which a machine with a wand and sterile "diamond" tip is used to abrade the top layer of skin and suction dead skin and debris. Diamond Microdermabrasion is different from Crystal Microdermabrasion in that there are no particles produced that the client or technician could potentially inhale. Pre Treatment Instructions Avoid hair removal on the face such as threading and waxing at least one week prior to treatment. Refrain from chemically or manually exfoliating the skin one week prior to treatment. Limit sun exposure one week prior to treatment to prevent sunburns. Do not get a spray tan before treatment. What to Expect During Your Treatment: Please anticipate the skin care technician to maneuver the head or neck to be able to perform the diamond microdermabrasion on necessary areas of skin to be worked on. Anticipate the technician to hold the skin taut throughout the duration of the service. You will feel a light abrasion and suction and should anticipate some sound from the machine.
